At least once a week, folks who are bored at work will ask this annoying question on Facebook. I work at home, and I'm a procrastinator. So I'm usually checking my timeline in the middle of the day when the question pops up. And like the question, my answer is always the same.
Lipstick!
It's my item of choice, regardless of whether I'm hypothetically stranded in the middle of nowhere or safe at home. I love lipstick! Stop by my house and you'll find it everywhere. There are tubes peeking out of my overflowing cosmetics bag, residing on my bathroom vanity, night table and sometimes even the kitchen table. In fact, the only place you're unlikely to see lipstick...sigh...is on my lips. Sure, I swipe on a coat of red, pink or berry lip color every morning. I even carry a tube of the same shade in my purse. However, I rarely, if ever, remember to touch-up or reapply it.
Urban Decay claims the thick-barreled, clear pencil will hold lip color in place, prevent feathering, correct mistakes and fill in lines. So I tested it out with a lipstick, that while the color is fabulous, it disappears from my mouth quicker than a box of Krispy Kreme donut holes brought to an office on a Friday.
The pencil kept my lipstick in place through two-cups of coffee, lunch and well into the afternoon - all without the dryness of long-lasting lipstick. There is a slight tackiness to it when initially applied, however it isn't noticeable once you put on lipstick or gloss. This primer pencil is one of those products you didn't know how much you needed until you gave it a try. It's worth the seconds it takes to swipe on in the morning as well as the $16 price tag.
