So, here's the deal. I'm sick. I am not sick with a cold, or a flu, or anything other than just the overall yuckies. I'm wondering if the symptoms I'm feeling (headache, mild nausea, throat pain, dizziness, fatigue, etc.) are just pregnancy + allergy (cedar is bad right now you guys) related, but whatever it is, I just feel so awful, and so like... not willing to do much of anything besides sit on the couch, lay in bed, or soak in a warm bath.
So Friday when I received the latest Frosty VoxBox from Influenster (more on this later this week), and saw that it came with a sample packed of Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane tea, I was pumped. But I was literally already enjoying a cup of Tazo Chai tea while unboxing the VoxBox and decided it had to wait.
Now, here I sit, home alone willing and praying myself better, while my boys are out doing the Christmas cookie thing at my mother-in-law's home, and figured there's no time like the present to give this tea a go. And I don't know about you, but hot tea when your sick is the best ever of life.
I opened the package and was slammed in the face with the most amazing smell. It's sweet and minty, but not TOO much of either. I was in love. And as soon as the hot water hit the little pillow of tea, the whole area around me filled with that smell of Christmas. It's so comforting. I love it.
It tastes way better than it smells. It actually tastes like a candy cane. Like, no joke. Not just minty tea, but like an actual, for real candy cane. I'm pretty much obsessed and praised heaven that the sample pack came with TWO tea bags so I can experience this all over again, probably later today, since I have zero self control ever.
What's more is that this tea is decaf, which is awesome for me, being a preggo lady and also being a sleep-deprived lady as well. I can drink this, get all nice and cozy and go lay down to take a *hopefully* rejuvenating nap. I absolutely adore this tea, and will for sure be purchasing this in the future. For. Sure.
