Manipay Police have initiated an investigation regarding an incident where two women had allegedly robbed a gold chain worth Rs.500,000 from a fisherman inside a cinema hall after offering a brew which got him intoxicated.
Police investigations have revealed that the fisherman had begun an affair with one of these two women about a month ago.
The police say that although he developed a relationship with her after a chance meeting, he does not even know where she lives. He had gone to the cinema on her invitation. Police are investigating to apprehend the suspects.
