Prince Philip proves he still got it in new Royal portrait.

The portrait, which was commissioned by the Museum of National History at Denmark’s Frederiksborg Castle, has special meaning for the Queen’s husband.

Aiming to celebrate the Duke of Edinburgh’s Dutch heritage, the painting which was done in Windsor Castle —shows the historical and cultural ties between the British and Dutch royal families.

Prince Philip sports a light blue sash, signaling the Order of the Elephant, which is Denmark’s most distinguished honor, in addition to his traditional royal attire.

The portrait was done in the castle’s grand corridor and at the end of the walkway is the Tapestry Room where the royal’s mother, Princess Alice, and maternal grandmother Princess Victoria were born.

The portrait goes on display in Denmark next year.

If you haven’t already, you should watch The Crown season 2, as it gives more insight into Prince Philip’s life.
