Never like in this period i British Royals are back in the limelight. Specifically Harry (for his farewell to the United Kingdom) and William (for his probable direct succession to the throne) seem to be literally the target of the more or less benevolent attention of tabloids, the press and politics. And not only of these realities. The last cone of light that lit up on the figures of the Dukes comes from the Republic electoral group which has made a serious charge against them. Indeed, very serious.
According to the anti-monarchist group (it should be specified), there would be a problem related to the benefit funds of The Royal Foundation managed, until before the farewell of Harry and Meghan, by Diana's children in mutual agreement. At the beginning of the split of the "Fab Four", in fact, two different realities were created: on the one hand the The Royal Foundation, currently still managed by William and Kate, on the other the Sussex Royals, a charitable fund managed by Harry and Meghan to which part of the capital of the original foundation was poured out.
With the subsequent step-back of the Sussexes and the closure of Sussex Royals (with an annexed ban on the Queen's use of the term royals again) the beneficial funds held by Harry and Meghan then moved in part to Travalyst, the eco project -turism founded by Harry.
And it is precisely this passage of money from the non-profit reality (The Royal Foundation) to a project that is not charitable, that has led Republic to ask for an investigation by the Charity Commission. The shadows raised by the opinion group do not stop there but extend to the Royal Foundation's choice to pour the money into Harry's private initiative, however devoted to sustainability, on the (apparently exclusive) basis of his kinship with William.
Obviously Harry's reaction was not long in coming: the Duke of Sussex sent a letter through his spokesmen defining the accusations made against his charity activity "deeply offensive" adding that "they are defamatory and insulting to all extraordinary associations and people he collaborated with. "
May a new front of controversy open against the Prince?
