Prince George’s County Budget Shortfall

The County is facing a $125 million budget gap for the next fiscal year. Falling revenues as a result of falling home values and higher expenses are two of the main culprits of PGCo’s $125 million budget gap. The Craftmark Frontgate Farms homesite on Rt. 202 is a graveyard with one home built besides the model, and the purchaser for that home, from what I heard, lost their financing so the house is just sitting waaay in the back by itself looking spooky.
A small bit of advice: stop building new homes unless they’re close to a metro station. Let the home (old & new) inventory decrease until values rise. Draw businesses, reduce home inventory, breed community and insulate: the people will come.
