When he sees his father, Prince Charles walk his bride Meghan Markle down the aisle on Saturday.
Kensington Palace announced Friday that Meghan asked the future King of England and her father in law to stand in the gap for her father, and of course he was honored.

I thought she would ask her mother, Doria Ragland to do the honors after her father was unable to attend due to all the drama surrounding his health, and the staged paparazzi photo fiasco.
But honestly, I love the fact that she asked Prince Charles, he’s the future King of England for goodness sake, and also shows that the Royal Family has really embraced our American Princess!
It was also announced that the Queen’s husband, Prince Philip, will attend the wedding after undergoing hip surgery about a month ago.
