The background

Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, has possibly found a new career path. Yes, it’s reading the weather. At least he’ll be able to do something if there’s ever a republic – apart from organic farming, of course.

During a tour of BBC Scotland’s Pacific Quay headquarters, he read Reporting Scotland’s lunchtime weather. He read a specially prepared script which made reference to royal palaces in Scotland. Watch the video below!

“HOW about this for a bit of fresh heir — Prince Charles presenting the WEATHER,” giggled The Sun.

A natural

“The prince proved a natural at doing the forecast. And we’re sure he went down a storm…” said The Sun. There were “gusts of laughter,” was The Evening Standard‘s response.

Royal consolation

Bad weather is always dispiriting, said The Independent. But at least viewers gained “a small measure of consolation after receiving the bad news from royalty.” Its headline was “Expect reign.”
