The price of a packet of rice and all other food items will be increased by 10 percent, All Ceylon Restaurant Owners’ Association National Organizer Asela Sampath said.
He said the price increase was due to the fuel price increase and the rising cost of food.
He complained that about 60 per cent of restaurants have been closed down in the country due to the prevailing difficulties.
“We are compelled to go for a price hike of rice packets and all other food to maintain our services,” he said.
