Preview of NEW Salt and Chilli Oriental

By Emma @glasgowfoodie

New Chinese pop up in Whiteinch

“Salt & Chilli Oriental” in the former Ninja Turtles Pizzeria site at 911 Dumbarton Road, Whiteinch, near the Clyde Tunnel entrance, opens on Thursday 25th March and we were invited along by Chef Jimmy to taste some of his dishes.

Looking a lot classier than your usual Glasgow takeaway, Jimmy has brought his Lychee Oriental restaurant class to  takeaway surroundings.

Here is the full menu at Salt and Chilli Oriental, Glasgow.

The menu has tasty items such as General Tso chicken and old favourites chicken satay to more the more exotic crab.

Feast your eyes on this…feast!

Nom nom noms.

Verdict

A wide mixture of dishes, with something to suit everyone from chicken satay to tofu and crab dishes alongside Katsu chicken curry.  Don’t worry about the heat of the salt and chilli chips, there were plenty of chilli peppers so they were hot enough but not too hot to overpower the tastebuds.  We were happily full after a starter and a main, shout out especially for the salt and chilli chips with added sriracha sauce.
