The above chart was made from the daily poll tracking done by the Rasmussen Poll on the approval/disapproval of President Obama. Rather than showing daily results (which would have made a very messy and unreadable chart), I chose to show the president's numbers on the first part of the last 21 months.
Note that have stayed within a rather narrow range of 11 points -- with his approval never dipping below 44% and disapproval never rising above 55%. It also shows that the approval ratings have risen in the last couple of months, while disapproval has dropped -- giving the president a 2 point higher approval than disapproval.
The congressional Republicans would like for us to think the president's numbers are bad -- but they have remained 30 to 35 points higher than congressional approval over this time period. I think they would love to have the president's numbers.
