Prawns of Passion

This lovely recipe is fit for prawn lovers. If you are thinking of making prawns this valentines day and you haven`t come up with a recipe try this prawns of passion recipe and impress yourself and your loved ones. This prawns of passion recipe is simple and easy to make, if you are a first timer in kitchen there is nothing to worry about just have a good time keeping while you are cooking and you`ll be more than satisfied with your results. Having prawns, is lovely and is a romantic dish for valentines day, this prawns of passion recipe  will leave and ever lasting impression and is a dish that can also be enjoyed on its own as well as with any meal (e.g. your healthy lunch meal), goes well with any type of salad.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter, divided
  • 1 medium head garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 pounds or one kg large prawns – peeled, deveined and butterflied
  • 1 medium head garlic, peeled and minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Directions:

  1. Melt 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add 1 minced head of garlic and saute for 2 to 3 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in the tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
  4. Continue cooking until reduced to a thick paste, about 60 to 90 minutes.
  5. In a separate saucepan, melt remaining 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  6. Saute remaining garlic for 2 to 3 minutes.
  7. Toss prawns in garlic butter sauce and place on a baking sheet.
  8. Broil until pink, do not overcook.
