Key position battles to keep an eye on as the Commanders prepare to start training camp

After a disappointing 4-13 season in 2023, the Washington Commanders are looking to improve their roster in 2024. Key positions up for grabs in training camp include cornerback, where new signings Michael Davis and draft pick Mike Sainristil will compete for positions alongside Emmanuel Forbes Jr. and Benjamin St-Juste. Head coach Dan Quinn will need better results from the secondary compared to their 32nd-ranked performance last year. The battle for the No. 3 receiver spot is also wide open, with Luke McCaffrey competing against Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus, and Jamison Crowder. The left tackle position will be contested between veteran Cornelius Lucas and rookie Brandon Coleman to protect quarterback Jayden Daniels' blindside.
