Porridge Radio – ‘7 Seconds’

Mercury Prize-nominated Porridge Radio have shared brand new song ‘7 Seconds’ ahead of the release of a live session, filmed by El Hardwick, on Thursday 17 September. The new song, produced by Marta Salogni, finds the Brighton four-piece in reflective mood.

Sitting somewhere between the swirling synth sound of ’80s icons Soft Cell and a melodic brand of shoegaze-infused indie , Dana Margolin channels the spirit of Karen O as she ponders how ‘I’ve been waiting such a long time for you and you know that I could never lie to you’ before declaring ‘I taught you love but you never gave me enough’. It finishes with Dana emotionally repeating ‘Do you ever think about who you were then and who you are now?’
