Popsicle Stick Snowflake

By Kathybarbro @KathyBarbro
So it’s time for my annual holiday challenge. How do you help students make a special gift for their parents that is inexpensive, non-denominational, and can be completed in two classes? This is my solution this year – popsicle snowflakes. My sample measures about 10" across, and is made from twelve Mini and six Craft Stick Woodsies that you can buy at Michaels or JoAnns. Even if you pay retail (without any coupons) the cost is about 35¢ per student for just the sticks. Not bad. I recommend using Aleene’s Tacky Craft Glue as it sets up pretty quick and it is good practice for students. Stay tuned for step two, my painted sample, coming later this week.
