Pond (tame Impala Side Project) Has a New Album Coming Soon [video]

I don’t know what they’re putting in the water down under, specifically Perth, Australia, but for some reason, every track released from there is pure gold. Tame Impala, the most significant of those groups to wash up on our shores over the past few years, have kept our ears filled with the fuzziest, most psychedelic, dream pop jams around. Even with the band’s crazy schedule, some of its members found time to create a new album under the name, Pond. While Pond is constantly changing their lineup (and sorry ladies, Tame Impala frontman, Kevin Parker, doesn’t lead the charge here) we’re consistently seeing numerous Tame Impala members as well as collaborations from some of their friends in Mink Mussel Creek, Gum, Space Lime Peacocks, and The Silents.

The new single, “Xanman,” can be streamed above, and the album tracklist is below. Be sure to pick up your copy when it arrives in the states on 8/6 via Modular People.

Track-listing:

1. Whatever Happened To The Million Head Collide
2. Xanman
3. Oh Dharma
4. Aloneaflameaflower
5. Giant Tortoise
6. Hobo Rocket
7. Midnight Mass (At The Market Street Payphone)
