Belarus claimed on Wednesday that Poland’s border guards beat around 100 Indian students and reversed them back to Ukraine after they were placed in refugee camps in Romania.

Belarus Ambassador to the United Nations Valentin Rybakov made a statement while giving a statement in the UN General Assembly on Wednesday.

“On February 26, Poland’s border guards beat and turned to Ukraine a group of around 100 Indian students who were then placed in refugee camps in Romania,” said Rybakov.

In his speech, the Ukrainian ambassador for Kyslytsya PBB Sergiy said an Indian citizen was killed and one Chinese citizen was injured in the Russian military operation in his country.

About 8,000 Indians, especially students, stranded in Ukraine, Harsh’s foreign secretary Vardhan Shringla said on Tuesday.

India has evacuated its citizens through special flights from Western neighbors Ukraine such as Romania, Hungary and Poland because the Ukrainian airspace has been closed since February 24.

Ukrainian air has been closed for civil aircraft operations since February 24 when the Russian military attacked the country.
