Flabbergasted. Just heard on the news this morning that UK and Northern Ireland are trying to change the law so that anyone convicted of murdering a police or prison officer should never be allowed to leave jail. Surely this is complete madness? Surely the law should be changed to murder is murder and life means life.. Why would a police or prison officer’s life be more meaningful than your average civilian? Surely all murderers should never be allowed to leave prison regardless of who the victim is.
