The Evolution Cup will be available in Pokémon Go for a limited time. In it, you’ll have the chance to use a specific Pokémon against other players and earn multiple rewards for each battle. It will be very different from the Master League, and it will give you the chance to use Pokemon that you wouldn’t normally use in battles with other players. This guide covers a list of levels for the Pokémon Go Evolution Cup.
Evolution Cup in Pokemon Go
The Evolution Cup will be a game where you can only use Pokemon that have evolved at least once and have a chance to evolve again. This means you need to use a Pokémon family with at least three evolutions. You cannot use more than 1,500 CP per Pokemon in this competition.
Pokemon Go Evolution Cup Tier List – Lead List
In this list, we’ll focus on the lead Pokémon. These Pokémon are the first Pokémon you use against players at the start of the battle. Pokémon in this role require a balance of attack and defense, making them the questionable first fighters your opponents will defeat. We recommend using at least one shield on it to block charged attacks.

Switch List
The Switch Pokemon is the second option you usually switch to when your main Pokemon is in trouble. If your opponent uses a Pokemon that is super effective against your main Pokemon, your switch Pokemon should be able to protect it, and your Pokemon should also focus on attack power rather than defense. We recommend using at least one shield on this Pokemon, and in some cases you’ll want to use both to block incoming charged attacks.

Closer List
The closest Pokémon on your team is the last Pokémon you use to protect yourself. This will be your last line of defense when fighting other players and it should have stronger defense than attack. However, you want to make sure it can still beat other Pokemon. Therefore, we generally recommend having good attack power while still focusing on defense. Also, we recommend not using shields on this Pokemon and keep them as your Lead and Switch Pokemon options.
