Hi blog friends. How was your weekend? Mine was great. I was so productive.
- Saturday: basketball conditioning and babysitting for two of my favorite kiddos.
- Sunday: Laundry, cleaned my room, organized a bunch of work stuff, picked up my mom from the airport.
I love when the weekend goes according to plan.
Breakfast
I fried 2 eggs and 1 egg white (for a little extra umph!) in a fry pan topped with salt and pepper. Then I poured some yummy salsa on top.
2 mugs of dark roast coffee.
I love salsa and it’s such an easy way to spice up breakfast.
I almost bought a Keurig Pod Coffee Brewer this weekend.
I really like the pods. Especially since they are
- really cool and fancy
- I’m totally suckered into the gourmet pods like Pumpkin Spice
- easy
I’m the only person at my house that drinks coffee so single serving is right up my alley. But, In the end I decided it’s not the best move. The coffee is a little more expensive pod-style. Plus there’s no option for brewing bigger batches. Sigh… my practical side wins!
Coffee from my plain old 5 cup Coffee Mate. Mark my words… 1 day I’ll brew pod-style.
I tweaked my knee a little. It’s the same knee that was all upset at me after my 1/2 Marathon and it’s a little worrying. I have my second half in a few weeks and I’m missing a lot of training days. If I miss too many more I think I’ll have to skip the race.
It’s nothing too painful or anything like that, it’s just painful enough that running 10ish miles on it sounds like a bad idea. I’m a little hesitant to try running. Eeeek.
Tell me about you!!! I want to know…
How do you decide if an injury is bad enough to skip training?
I usually know if a pain is a bad one or an okay one… when it comes to knees I’m sort of lost.
Do you brew pod style?
Sigh- no.
If you could go to Africa where would you go and why?
Egypt… hello Mummies are cool.
What are you going to be for Halloween this year?
A peacock! I’m keeping it low key though by dressing up, handing out candy at my house and watching some not so scary, scary movies.
