The wife of notorious underworld figure Janith Madushanka alias “Podi Lassie” lodged a complaint with the Police Headquarters that her family members and she are facing death threats by her husband.
Podi Lassie is currently jailed at the Boossa high security prison. She had told the Police on Wednesday that she intends to go abroad with her child as she has decided to get a divorce.
She had told the Police that Podi Lassie threatened to kill her entire family if she took the child with her. It had been communicated to her through accomplices of Podi Lassie.
She had told the Police that the accomplice, who called her, is currently in Dubai and that she also plans to travel to Dubai.
Podi Lassie was given bail by Court, but still remains in prison as bail conditions were not met.
