Pleasantly SurPridesed ...

Yeah, we're very aware that the title of this post is a little hard to read, and not one of our best puns ... but it's getting relatively late and we've been staring at screens all day so please bear with us!! Anyhow, Prides, whom this post is about, have unveiled a new single and, whilst we'd not heard of them prior to this, their incredible new single is on par with the likes of Imagine Dragons and Bastille in terms of sound and, whilst their noise is huge, their following is currently very small.
The Seeds You Sow really doesn't miss out anyone. If you're looking for something to dance to, you can call on this. If you're looking for something to chill out to, you can still call on this ... and finally, if you want to relax, somehow, you can call on this. There's a wondrous mix throughout this one that gives it all of the qualities listed, and then some!
The vocal is rather soothing, and comparable to that of either Muse's Matt Bellamy, Waylayer's Harry, or even Bastille's Dan Smith ... yet, the music is a lot darker, a lot deeper, and still surprisingly dance-y. You'll notice your hips wiggling along before you've even gotten the tune in your head (which will happen by the way)
We're becoming more and more susceptible to catchiness in this day and age, and this sort of track is the kind that will get stuck there, and will pester you until you physically have to sit there and give it a listen - it's just very fortunate this time round that the song is actually one that we thoroughly enjoy!
We think there's a lot more to hear from Prides in the future, but believe that for now, their anthemic entrance to the industry is not one to go unnoticed.
Paul.
