A London commemorative plaque for every day in 2016.
The plaques are selected from all walks of life, and all points of the London compass – and I'm taking requests too!

Fred Cleary, Cleary Garden EC4
Soldiers, politicians, scientists… even drummers in rock’n’roll groups. The plaques of London reflect the diversity of achievement in this, the world’s greatest city.
But think on this: perhaps this city wouldn’t be so great had it not been for the tireless work of Fred Cleary. Cleary campaigned on our behalf for open spaces in the metropolis in which to rest, eat, relax and simply think. The garden that bares his name – and his plaque – was once the site of Roman bath house. Remember old Fred next time you’re taking your ease in any one of the Square Mile’s 100-plus parks, gardens and open spaces.
A London Walk costs £10 – £8 concession. To join a London Walk, simply meet your guide at the designated tube station at the appointed time. Details of all London Walks can be found at www.walks.com
