Planet Earth

I’ve been watching the episodes of Planet Earth for a few weeks now, exploring the lives of known and less known animal species. Even though this spectacular documentary series is highly educational, it does show you nature’s violent side and how life is truly challenging for the animal world. With birth they can only get one of the roles: they will either train since the early age to become the most efficient killing machines or they will accept their role of prey on constant run from predators. Add to that the hostile climate of most of their natural habitats and their every day survival seems like a really challenging task.

And then there are we, the nature’s most intriguing creation. We’ve been given the greatest gift of all, the consciousness, the power to understand the world around us on a higher level. A chance to live in abundance, have enough food resources and dedicate our time to our passions, families, talents, art, sport and whatever our souls desire. Yet it seems we still haven’t learned that lesson. For most people life is just a struggle and in order to get something, they must take it from others. But the truth is that we are extremely privileged to have this human experience on Earth. To live, learn and enjoy.

There is more than enough for all the members of the human specie. If we only learned to share what we already have (knowledge included), the world would be a much happier place.
