Pilsner – Twin Sails Brewing

By Mike @mikescraftbeer

From Twin Sails Brewing in Port Moody comes their "Pilsner". The beer pours a straw yellow colour with a white head. The aroma consists of citrus, biscuit, grain and grassy hops. The flavour is of citrusy lemon, biscuit, grains and mild grassy hops. The alcohol content comes in at 5.1% with an IBU of 28. While I am not a fan of the pilsner style this one is well made and will be refreshing in the summer for anyone that likes a well made pilsner.

Commercial Description: A pale golden lager with a light body and clean finish. Twin Sails Pilsner is brewed with 100% German pilsner malt; and has a pleasant light grain profile with a crisp finish. Our Pilsner is generously hopped with a combination of German Hallertau and Czech Saaz hops, giving it a mild spice flavour that adds to its drinkability.
