Piercing Perfection ...

The likes of HAIM have made a massive wave in the music industry of late, opening up the doors for female-fronted duos and trios alike whom are capable of being both down to earth chicks, and rock 'n' roll honeys. The Pierces, though a little more tame than HAIM, really have a similar vibe about them, and in their new single Believe In Me, we think there's plenty to adore.
The glistening entrance, with the pulsating beat is actually very reminiscent of Florence & The Machine. Their earlier stuff will quickly come to mind when you hear it, but then the fusion of this, with HAIM comes to the forefront when the strongly accented vocals start to show themselves ... all in all, a successful combo so far, no?! Well, it doesn't end there to be honest, it just keeps going.
This combo is there throughout the entirety of the verses, but in the chorus, a rather large change happens, and albeit a tad more towards the pop side of the genre, the likenesses then to Foxes make it even more appealing in a curiosity sort of way, than anything else.
The fact is, this is very sweet, has some massive massive names attached, and is well worthy of your time and effort. We can imagine this being the pick-me-up song on a petty regretful day, and that makes it somewhat special. We only see it being a matter of time until The Pierces are supporting HAIM, Foxes, and Florence & The Machine ... and from then on, we don't see why they can't have a name that is just as big.
Paul.
