This bandana was bought at a small store in the Newcastle vintage scene, and I actually became a bit obsessed with head bands like this for quite some time. I loved wearing it here in Barcelona to add a little emo-ness to my plain bikini.
I bought this pencil skirt in the Topshop concession in Debenhams in Metrocentre before my hols and for some reason my card was declined, but I knew I had money so I literally ran to the nearest cash point to pay for this beauty. These denim shorts were never off me this summer, again another Topshop purchase and I absolutely adore them. The mustard coloured vest I am wearing was a very random Toppas purchase but even now, in the cold cold winter, it is a staple item I throw on with anything.
I absolutely love this denim shirt. I bought it on a trip to Edinburgh with my lovely mammy for my 21st birthday in June, and I literally threw it over everything for about a month after it was bought. Loved it so much, unfortunately it has went unloved recently, may have to get it out again and show it some love.
Now, these American flag shorts. I know everyone has a pair and I am even seeing Topshop selling them again only in slightly darker denim shades, but I love them. I love them so much that I will cry if they ever do not fit me. I wore them for my 21st birthday (right) and in Barcelona hanging out with some European phitties (left).
Literally wore this jumper over everything this summer. I even took it to a fieldtrip I had to Southern Spain this year and it was so lovely to throw on. I still love it now only it is slightly cropped, so a little impractical for the winter days.
Fell in love with this t-shirt, but it has only been worn a handful of times. It’s one of those items that has to be worn to be seen, so if I’m only going to uni or for a coffee in Newcastle then I don’t like to waste it’s fabulous-ness.
Loved this combo for so long in the summer and it reminds me of nights out with a good friend from university –us geographers are crazy. The scallop vest is polka dot from Topshop and the suede shorts are a Miss Selfridge number. I still wear both now, but unfortunately I have lost weight and the vest hangs a little too low now. My first ever pair of wet look leggings were a bargain from Dorothy Perkins for about a tenner. I love them so much but they don’t get much wear during the cold.
I won’t lie, I completely copied off one of my BFFs with this lace vest. It is pure beauty, but can only be hand washed which is a pain. This leather jacket was a definite must for my autumn wardrobe, I wanted it so bad at a time where I was unbelievably skint that I opened up a store card just for this – times were hard. I’m bloody stupid like, naughty Jen!
This was the first time that I wore this lovely Miss Selfridge blouse, and it will always remind me of this crazy night where some crazy professional dancer repeatedly spun me around, picked me up and flung me all over in front of a huge crowd in Perdu in Newcastle. My kind of night.
These shorts –knickers- were bought for one reason and one reason only, I seen the £20 price tag and automatically thought ‘that’s cheap for Topshop’. Well no, actually, there is about as much material on them as there is on one of my bras –32A in case you’re wondering- so they are technically pretty expensive. They have leather panels down the sides, and I loved the style of them so much that I got the leggings version too. Which are a lot better – and warmer. Finally, my lovely winter coat. Isn’t it adorable? It was £95 in Topshop, but I got it when there was 20% student discount. I love the fur and I love the cut, I feel so classy when I wear it. The M&S fur hat is a babe too, I’ve been told several times that I resemble Louise from Made In Chelsea whilst wearing it –also whilst not wearing it too surprisingly. I am posting this on NYE and have a few drafts at the ready to post in the very near future, but unfortunately I have 2 big deadlines coming up and I need to spend 2 to 3 weeks doing lab work in the evenings for my dissertation too; so not only will I be busy and extremely tired, but I will also be looking like a geographer, which isn’t very nice-Unless you want to see me in my lab coat? So my posts may become less regular as I tackle my deadlines and dissertation, but I will try my best and I usually dedicate a few hours before bed to visiting blogs and followers so I will still be about. What are your favorite pieces from 2011?
