Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time premiere on Monday night in L.A. was nothing short of amazing, with blue carpet, and the magic of the film stars.
The carpet went to another level, when Queen Oprah hit the carpet looking amazing with a long ponytail, a bronze lip, bedazzled glasses, and a gorgeous blue dress that had the queen of all media looking snatched!
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Disney movie stars, along with the film’s director, Ava DuVernay were all on hand to celebrate, along with other A-listers, the much anticipated fantasy/science fiction film.
Oprah (Mrs. Which), Storm Reid, who plays Meg Murry, Reese Witherspoon (Mrs. Whatsit), and Mindy Kaling (Mrs.Who)
DuVernay, the first Black woman to direct a project with a budget of over $100 million, shared a positive message for young boys and girls as she introduced the film onstage.
“This is a happy movie in a dark time, which is particularly important for young kids, especially young regular girls. They need to know that they can be recognized for just being themselves, they don’t have to be Jedis or superheroes,” she said.
Held at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, California, the film received rave reviews from some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, who were on hand to celebrate the premiere.

It was also good to see that some of the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther came out to support Ava and the cast.
Director, Ryan Coogler, Angela Bassett, and Duke Winston were all spotted on the blue carpet.
Ryan Coogler, shared at the premiere how he and Ava became friends while both working on editing their films for Disney.
“Ava was doing post on A Wrinkle In Time at the same time I was doing Black Panther. We were right across the hall from each other,” said Coogler. “I’d say, ‘Hey Ava, come take a look at this.’ And she’d give me her opinion on the scene and vice versa. We would walk around the lot and talk about both films. We’re really good friends now.”

Black-ish actress Marsai martin and Storm Reid pose together on the blue carpet, Martin also posted on Instagram, “I am so proud of you Storm!”
The Ava DuVernay directed film releases to theaters on March 9th, and stars Storm Reid as Meg Murry, a middle schooler who must go on a mission to save her father (Chris Pine) with help from celestial beings Mrs. Which (Oprah Winfrey), Mrs. Whatsit (Reese Witherspoon) and Mrs. Who (Mindy Kaling).
