Picnic Menu Ideas for National Picnic Month

By Creativeculinary @CreativCulinary

July is National Picnic Month, did you know that? I sure didn't but with food, look for a second and you'll likely find something that can be celebrated every day of the year. And yet what better association with July could there be? Even in 'late to the party' Colorado where June can still have a very late snow and some hail, July is finally and safely summer. So to help you celebrate my friends and I have put together some of our favorite Picnic Menu Ideas for National Picnic Month.

Whether a picnic for you is a trip to the beach, visiting a state park or in my case, having the neighbors over for a backyard barbecue, these dishes celebrate all that is summer with sandwiches, sides and desserts. Whether you need inspiration for the upcoming July 4th holiday or a casual after work get together, we've got some great ideas to share with you for your family and friends.

Let's get this party started! I'm sharing this French Potato Salad I recently posted. Not only is it absolutely delicious with a combination of baby red potatoes, fresh herbs and an olive oil dressing but no refrigeration is required; picnic perfect right?
