Phuket Photo Diary

Sometimes you just gotta say “Phuket” and hit the beach.

Oh Thailand, you had my heart at first glance.  Two days was not enough to explore all that this island and surrounding islands had to offer. We had fun elephant trekking, which is scarier than you’d think, and visiting baby tigers at Tiger Kingdom. We explored the expanse of the island through the open-aired sides of a tuk tuk and visited gorgeous beaches filled with suntanned Aussies.

One things for sure, SouthEast Asia is the playground of Australians. From all the people we met along the way, we were one of the very few Americans vacationing there. Not that we minded Food was dirt cheap, coconuts were abundant, and fresh fruits were the essential snack in between any meal. An oversight we discovered was staying on Patong, though the beach was lovely, the area over night can get a bit sleazy and we avoided the drunken masses that I’d like to call “Amsterdam on Steroids”. It wasn’t exactly our scene yet other than that I absolutely loved Phuket.
