'pH-ony Baloney'

By Davidduff

They're at it again!  I'm refering to those "hide the decline" con artists who have built reputations and fortunes from alarming tales that 'the end of the world is nigh' due to the wicked increase in CO2 emissions by uncarying, profit-seeking, corrupt, Big Business.  First there was Michael Mann's infamous 'hockey stick' which, if it had been drawn correctly, based on facts not computer models, would have been as flat as a witch's tit!

Now we have a (non)scientific paper issued with suitable fanfare alarums by some professorial 'warmer' called Dr. Richard A. Feely who would have us believe that CO2 emissions are causing severe acidification of the oceans and all the poor 'likkle fishy-wishies' will die, followed by the rest of us because the world will end - or something like that!  Here's his chart but I should warn you that if the 'Hockey Stick' diagram scared you this one will make you wet your pants, er, thus adding, I suppose, to yet more acidification!

Didja see it? - Didja? - Didja?  Well look again and take note of the fact that he starts his measurement of sea water acidification from CO2 in 1988.  A lonely - and by now even more lonely, I guess - scientist familiar with the field has pointed out that the king has no clothes on the diagram omits 2 million+ accurate measurements from over 80 years prior to to 1988!  I can safely tell you now, because most 'warmer' (non)science') is treated with contempt by anyone with more than three brain cells, without fear of anyone fainting in shock and suing me for damages, that if you take into account those, er, 'missing/over-looked/dog ate it/hide the decline' 80 years then there is absolutely no sign of any increased trend in ocean CO2 levels.

 Why am I not surprised?
