No, you read that right, an all new Marvel Original Graphic Novel from writer Mark Waid (yay!) and artist Gabriele Dell’otto has been announced by Marvel, and will hit shelves May 2014. Spider-Man: Family Business will introduce us to Teresa Parker, Peter Parker’s sister, and will revolve around Kingpin as he organizes a global crime syndicate. The announcement was originally made by USA Today, and in the article, Waid explained:
“It seems very bizarre to him that Aunt May never mentioned anything about this woman, who’s about his age and the resemblance is there,” Waid explains. “Peter wants to try to figure out what this mystery is all about but basically they’re running from a crime syndicate out to kill them both throughout the novel, so there’s not a whole lot of time for Spider-Man to sit and relax and slowly suss this out.”
