Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter Review

By Sassysweetstyle @ChaniaB

I appreciate the opportunity to review the following product courtesy of #PerlierOnHSN via iFabbo.  All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter $40

When I received another opportunity to try a new Perlier product, I was all over it!

Perlier combines the rare honey of African Black Bees with Royal Jelly to create a body butter that is designed to moisturize skin year round, while leaving Honey & Oriental woods notes behind.

Doesn’t it look so luxurious? LOVE the packaging!

Looks like yogurt or mayonnaise in the container but spreads easily & absorbs quickly once applied.

I initially used as an all over body butter.  It made my skin look & feel WONDERFUL.  However, the honey fragrance was pretty strong & I could still smell on my skin & bedding the next day {great for a smell you love, not so great for one that’s not your favorite}. I switched to using on my cracked hands & feet & it works just as well without overwhelming me with the fragrance.

Pros

  1. Did not irritate my super sensitive skin.
  2. Left my skin super soft & moisturized.
  3. A small amount of product goes a long way.
  4. My hands & feet looked significantly better after one use.
  5. Equivalent to a spa-like treatment.

Cons

  1. The fragrance.  It was a very strong honey smell & I was not a fan. All I could think of was “Honey. Honey, Honey, Honey, Honeeeeeey” from my daughter’s Winnie the Pooh movie.
  2. Price tag.  $40 is pretty steep for an all over body butter, BUT it uses rare honey so you would have to decide if it is worth the splurge.

Verdict

I will not be purchasing this once it runs out.  While I am super grateful for the opportunity, the fragrance is just not for me.  Perhaps if there were other fragrances available, I would reconsider.

Love the smell of honey & could use a fantastic body butter?
