Perfect 3 Stone Engagement Rings

By Raymondleejewelers @raymondleejwlrs

Three stone engagement rings are one of my favorite classic engagement ring silhouettes. Actually, I’ll come right out and say it: it’s my favorite. I did have a love affair with a particular 7 carat fancy yellow radiant cut solitaire, set in bright polish yellow gold with 4 claw prongs. But can you blame me? 7 carats people. And you know how I feel about fancy yellows.

Anyway, my own ring is a three stone, with an oval center and fancy yellow half moons. It’s something I never would have expected to fall in love with (I’ve told you about Perfect Halo, right?) But once I started working at Raymond Lee Jewelers many moons and half moons ago, something about this ring just whispered my name every time I walked by the bridal case. Luckily it shouted at my husband (or my very helpful bosses and coworkers did.) So yes, as usual, I’m playing favorites.

This style of engagement ring lends itself beautifully to oval, round, emerald and princess shaped diamonds of varying sizes. It’s timeless, and it is a beautiful alternative to the ever popular halo (though there are three stone halos, let me tell you, and they are amazeballs.) It’s also a great alternative to the relatively “trendy”, if you can call it that, solitaire on a thin diamond band.

So if you’re into this style, or even if you’re still on the fence, I’ve got a few ideas for you. let these serve as inspo for your Pinterest boards, or just DM/e-mail call and say “I’ll take that one” because they are all currently available!

What’s not to love about a 6.21 carat total weight like this? Center stone is 4.01 carats with K/L color and SI1 clarity, while the side stones are 2.20 ctw of the same.

I looove this emerald cut. It’s so bold and juicy. I also like that this ring pairs it with larger trapezoids on the side, 1.50ctw to balance the 3.02ct F VVS2 center.

I love how different this 5+ carat pear shape is!

This Gabriel & Co. ring combines fat pear shape side stones with a halo in the middle for a really unique look that I can’t get enough of.

This particular emerald cut, a 3.02ct center, is flanked by tapered baguettes (which is another of my favorite ways to play with an emerald!)

This Verragio Insignia setting features a rare (for the brand) three stone style that’s just perfect with princess cut diamonds.

Finally, one last round brilliant 3 stone engagement ring, F in color and VVS in clarity, set in bright platinum. This is even more stunning in real life!
