The Faculty of Arts Trade Union has decided that the teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts will withdraw from teaching activities for four days from today (14) in protest against the attack on the former Vice-Chancellor of Peradeniya University, Senior Professor Athula Senaratne and his family members.
The Association says that this decision was taken to condemn the behavior of the students who attacked the senior professor Senaratne and his family members and damaged the house where they were staying.
Accordingly,teaching activities will not be carried out in the Arts Faculty from today 14 to December 18.
