Pep Guardiola insists the Premier League title race is NOT over regardless of Manchester Metropolis going eight factors clear on the summit after a tenth straight win at Brentford whereas their rivals Chelsea and Liverpool stutter
Pep Guardiola insisted the title race is way from over after Manchester Metropolis tightened their grip on prime spot at Brentford.
Guardiola's defending champions took full benefit of their nearest challengers Liverpool and Chelsea each dropping factors this week to rack up a tenth successive league win and transfer eight factors clear after 20 video games.
However Metropolis's supervisor mentioned: 'There are 54 points to play for and so many more tough teams to play so when you put it in that perspective eight points is ridiculous. We were 4-0 up and in 20 minutes it was 4-3 three, four days ago [against Leicester] so all of you, thank you for your nice words because we win but I'm not going to consider any of the phrases you will say about you suppose it's already finished.
'The teams we're competing with, Chelsea and Liverpool, are greater than distinctive. One is champions of Europe and Liverpool have been our huge rivals within the final three, 4 years.
'And we have this distance not because they drop points but because we win 10 games in a row.
'When you win 30 points from 30 you can be in a good position but it is 54 points still to play and we are just thinking of Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton the next three games we have.
'Unfortunately we have to come back soon here to London, play Arsenal at 12.30.
'Maybe right now one of the best teams, in top form. It is Arsenal maybe in in their best moment in the last four, five or six years.
'Everyone can agree or disagree with me but it's one other one so now relaxation, recuperate the folks and attempt to do it.'
