pasta using arrabiata sauce

  • pasta - 1 cup(penne)
  • tomato - 1 large size
  • onion - 1 finely chopped
  • garlic - 2 nos finely chopped
  • Italian seasoning - 1/2 teaspoon
  • chilli flakes - adjust as per your taste
  • dried basil - 1/4 teaspoon(optioanl)
  • salt - to taste
  • oil - 1 to 2 teaspoon
Instructions
  1. Boil water in a sauce pan with enough salt and few drops of oil in it and add pasta to it.To the same boiling pasta cook the large tomato for 2 minutes till the skin shrinks and remove the tomato.Peel the skin and roughly chop into pieces.
  2. now heat oil in the kadai, and add garlic cloves and cook it till it becomes roasted a bit.Now add finely chopped onions to it and cook it till get soften.
  3. Meanwhile check the pasta whether it get done or not.If it get done,then drain the water and arrange the pasta in serving dish.
  4. puree the tomatoes in the blender and add it to the cooked onion to it.Now add salt,italian seasoning and chilli flakes to it .cook for 2 minutes till it thickens and oil separates.
  5. Pour the mixture over the pasta and grate the cheese over it and serve piping hot.
