Kisha Curtis, 28, continues to refuse to accept responsibility in the case and tries to evade jail time. She has refused a plea deal that would give her 18 months in prison and a fine and never own animals again. She wants to seal her abuse of Patrick and erase it from her record.
It’s been nearly two years since Patrick was found on March 16, 2011, the day before St. Patrick’s Day, at the bottom of a 22-story trash chute of a Newark, NJ apartment building where Curtis lived. The dog had been placed in a trash bag and thrown down the chute. He had been starved and subjected to horrific abuse. Rescuers did not think he’d survive another 24 hours.
Thank God he did!!
There is a new assistant prosecutor on Patrick’s case who just wants it off her calendar, Margarita Rivera. Demand that no other plea deals be offered to Curtis and that her request for pre-trial intervention be denied.
