Pastels for Fall

By Savoir_style @Savoir_Style
First off, a few places in Michigan had a power outage last Sunday and two days without power & internet weren't exactly sweet. Thankfully, we survived.

Talking of Sweet, Remember when I told you, not to be afraid of adding pastels to your spring wardrobe? Guess what? Don't pack away those pastels yet. These candy colors made a statement on the fall runways this year and here's how you can translate this runway trend into effortless fall dressing?

Your best bet would be using neutrals and/or fall colors in the outfit to balance out the lighter hues. In today's outfit, I am wearing a lilac top and a sequin skirt. To give this outfit an autumnal feel, I added a purple coat, a blush colored clutch and ankle boots.

Lilac Top  –  Love Culture  Sequin Skirt – Sher Khan, India  Coat – Yoki via Ideeli  Ankle boots – LC for Kohls
The coat with its solid color adds structure to the outfit while the ankle boots complete the outfit making it perfect for a cold day.  Balance is the key to making pastel pieces work for your fall dressing.

How do you wear pastels for fall? Will you be giving this trend a try this fall and how?
Don't forget to leave your comments about this look. Hope you are having a great day.
