I have realized, that over the years (unintentionally) I have tried hard to not behave in a passive aggressive manner. I have made categorial changes in my personality to address issues head on instead of beating around the bush or give the silent treatment. The only instance I choose to be quiet is when I know I am talking to a fool, or when I know silence is a better remedy than words (temporarily). At all other times, I choose to talk about whatever is on my mind. Hell, I am open with you even guys (readers!).
Passive aggressive behavior, I believe is integral part of any Indian (or desi) household. That is how we have seen our family members interact with each other. When things are great, we feast and dance and watch movies. When things are not-that-great we ignore, avoid and give-the-silent-treatment to each other. No one ever talk about the elephant in the room, and if anyone does, then everyone makes that one person to the villain, because he/she broke the sacred vow of passive-aggression. Having been away from home for over 10 years, I realize I am out of practice (and patience) of dealing with this hostility. When you have a bizillion things to accomplish, it feels quite a nuisance, if you ask me!
Moving to the outfit, this is what I wore to the Blogger Scene party last week. This is not the first time I wore a Saree to a blogging even though. Remember this, from Austin in 2012?
