MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current Colorado Driver’s License.
• Colorado certified EMT-Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate
• ACLS certified
• One (1) year field experience as an ALS provider and one (1) year experience as a Firefighter or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• NIMS ICS 100 & 700 certification
• Firefighter 1 certification (or attain within two (2) years of employment)
• Due to the arduous, physically demanding nature of emergency services and our mountainous environment must be able to physical fulfill perform job required duties as a Paramedic or EMT-Intermediate/Fighter.
• Working knowledge of personal computers and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal communication skills as a team member in support of the Fire District Mission.
• Create and maintain respectful, professional relationships with all fellow personnel, patients and the general public. Follow the chain of command with proper understanding of the SOGs.
