The big story: Pakistan lifted the ban on TikTokThe Pakistani telecommunications authority blocked the video app 11 days ago for what it called "immoral", "obscene" and "vulgar" videos. The authority said today it is lifting the ban after negotiating with TikTok management.
"The restoration of TikTok is strictly subject to the condition that the platform is not used for the dissemination of vulgarity / indecent content and that social values are not abused," he continued.
This isn't the first time this year the country has tried to crack down on digital content. Pakistan announced new rules on internet censorship this year, but revoked them after Facebook, Google and Twitter threatened to leave the country.
