Immediately after the non-confidence movement was rejected, Imran Khan during the address broadcast by the State announced that he had suggested President Arif Alvi to dissolve the National Assembly and the election would be held within three months.
The President dissolved the Assembly, raised a strong protest from the opposition who challenged the decision at the Supreme Court. PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif accused Imran Khan to violate the constitution and force civil military law in the country.
The chairman of the Adade of Judges said that all orders and actions initiated by the Prime Minister and President regarding the dissolution of the National Assembly would submit to the court order.
