Outfit: Time to Take Photos for Our Christmas Card

By Stilettosanddiaperbags @Sadbblog
Every year my family heads to the same forest preserve and we take our Christmas card photos. We knocked out our family shot in about 32 frames, which took longer then usual, but the sun was out and it was hard for the kids to look up and smile. Hey, if you get a good weather day before the leaves fall off the trees,  you just make it work!
We then took individual shots of each person. I love the shots we got of everyone this year! Plus we did photos of just the kids and then myself and my hubby took a "couple shot" as well. We did not get all "matchy matchy" but we all wore neutrals mixed with dark colors (blues, black, oxblood, gray, red, gold, and white). In the end, I love the photos we ended up with this year!
I decided to pair this gray shift dress with black tights, a great black statement necklace, gold jewelry, and oxblood shoes. Dress: Target (Swap w/ Kaitlyn) // Tights: Loft // Shoes: c/o Just Fab // Necklace:  (Swap w/ Kaitlyn) // Bracelet: House of Gemmes // Watch: Fossil // Sunnies: MNG by Mango
My husband wore a handsome blue sweater (I mean, he's got great sweater game people!), with a read and white collar shirt under. To finish his look he mixed his neutrals and added black pants and shoes.  Sweater: Banana Republic // Shirt: Express // Pants: Gap // Shoes: Aldo // Sunnies: Ray Ban Here is our couple shot:
OK, I'm partial, but I think we look great! ;) I've already ordered my Christmas cards and ordered prints of a few photos to update my photo wall as well.
Do you go for annual photo shoots with your family? Do you take the photos yourself?
