Out To The Bar!

By Therelishedroost
Plans are underway for finally updated the out door cabana bar.  These out buildings were existing when we purchased this old home 15 years ago. I believe they were built in the 1960's and we have slowly over the years updated in phases.  Due to blue stone, the floor plan stays the same but will be ripped out and new cabinets, counters etc in it's place. I am going dark gray with X-front detailed upper cabinets, and decided against  X front on lower bar front. I think simple is better and too much a of a good thing is too much of a good thing! Counters will be honed steel gray granite, it mimics blue stone very well and no maintenance. Hoping to add pendants over bar TBD and torn between aged brass or iron cabinet fixtures.  This project is to take place in mid -May, fingers crossed as things usually get delayed and will reveal once complete. Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend and hopefully you have Spring weather wherever you are!

Yikes it looks bad after a long hard winter!

Love the Charcoal color!

Steel Gray honed Granite a great stone if you are afraid of stains and etching.

Will hang horizontal white wide bead board throughout for walls so that Gray cabinets stand out. Flat screen TV to be placed center between cabinets.

Revised plans to simply bar front with recessed shaker style panel fronts and add X front to only upper cabintery doors.
