Our Tuesday Date Days

By Winyeemichelle
We shot this set of photos last Tuesday on our weekly date day and I absolutely fell in love with the bright colours and the promise of spring lingering in the air. It’s safe to say I was a little premature in my ‘first day of spring!’ excitement because I truly froze when shooting these and couldn’t wait to retrieve my coat from Harvey once the final shot had been taken. If you’ve ever wondered how bloggers survive with no coat on all day, it’s often because our boyfriends or willing pals are shooting our photos with a coat precariously perched atop their head or draped on their shoulders. That’s the marker of modern love, tbh.
Tuesday is my favorite day of the week at the moment. Harvey’s work week has shifted and so our date days have shifted too! It makes Monday feel a little bit sweeter, knowing that I can enjoy an entire Tuesday with my love. In a bid to knuckle down with our saving for various things, we’ve also introduced a pretty fun clause of Date Day. Each week we take it in turns to pay and each week is attributed to a different budget. And so it was that this week’s date day ended up with a hand-in-hand stroll through the old part of town, catching each other up on everything we’d missed since speaking the evening before, picking up some veggie Thai food from that food market in town and gaming with our arms interlinked for the remainder of the afternoon,
For the occasion, I debuted my new Zara top, this floral print off-shoulder number that I ordered last week. It’s the prettiest, girliest piece ever - so girly, in fact, that I paired it with torn-up Frame Denim jeans (snagged at £18.50 in a sample sale!) and my loafers. There’s nothing like these Gucci-inspired loafers to anchor an outfit. With it went my adorable Celine Trio… I’m still really into the pink and red color palette at the moment!
