There are so many amazing designers at this year’s London Fashion Week and here at The Fashion Visuals we can’t get enough of the fabulous dresses, classic looks and amazing materials and we simply want every single pair of womens shoes, every outfit and every accessory!
We have selected some of our top designers which we think really wowed everyone with their out of this world Autumn/Winter creations and the following designers really stood out from them all …
Temperley London:
Designed by, Alice Temperley who lives in the stylish, Notting Hill in London, she has created a beautiful collection of timeless, classic and sophisticated pieces which would be fit for celebrities to wear for big red carpet events. This floor length white dress with ribbed, ribboned and ruffled detailing looked absolutely beautiful on the catwalk as it oozed femininity, innocence and beauty.
Mark Fast in a Canadian fashion designer born in Manitoba but studied both his BA and MA at Central Saint Martins in London. His signature looks are “hand-made knitted dresses” and his ideal client would be someone “strong and enthusiastic with great legs”. One of his dresses from the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection may not be one of the most practical dresses to wear but it certainly looks fantastic when worn. This strappy meshed bodice complete with a floor length feathered skirt resembles the cuteness of Carrie Bradshaw in the SATC trailer in her tutu but also screams sexy burlesque dancer with the ruffled feather detailing.
Marios Schwab is a Greco-Austrian living in London and takes inspiration for his collections from cultural surroundings and he finds as a fashion designer that music and art are key influences in his creations. Marios ideal client would be: “A young, cosmopolitan woman who is open minded, enigmatic and adventurous”, and this dress from his collection is fit exactly for one of these woman. The floatiness and style of the dress oozes an Edwardian sense of femininity but the see through material with the stunning embellished detailing covering up the models modesty highlights a form of elegant sexiness.
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Erdem Moralioglu creates collections that are special and individual and his ideal client would be: “A clever person who probably cares little about seasons who has a lot of conviction and marches to her own drum”. This bold and black dress is extremely individual indeed with its floral and over sized ruffles and mesh waistline which adds a touch of class and skin to break up the over powering, thick material and style of the frock.
Giles Deacon graduated from, St Martins in 1992 and first presented his collection at LFW in 2004 and this collection was impressively featured in American, British, Japanese, Italian and French Vogue as well as many more amazing publications. The signature look from, Giles is: “Statement, playful and confidence-giving”. This gold embellished low-neck lined gown very much resembles a mermaid style with the gold fin-like detailing on the top and the floaty black material on the bottom. The model even looks mermaid like with her long wavy hair and effortless make-up which over all provoked a playful and fictional look with a twist of sultry goddess.
