  • Hated Giuliana's dress…again
  • Will I. Am paid tribute to Grand Budapest Hotel with his outfit…not in a good way.
  • Hated Faith Hill's Haircut
  • Tim McGraw is gorgeous without his hat.
  • Margot Robbie was stunning with that amazing diamond tassle necklace. She should be a bigger star by now.
  • What's up with Ethan Hawke's hair? Bad comb over?
  • We know Ryan Seacrest is tiny, how tiny is Kevin Hart if he's looking up at Ryan?
  • Dakota Johnson's dress looked lopsided to me.
  • Loved my 13 year old hearing about floggers from Giuliana Rancic.
  • Richard Linklater could really use a trim and some mousse
  • Adam Levine's a hotty but Behati, didn't look so hot. Hated her hair.
  • Laura Dern looked really good. Loved her dress. Her dad's a mess but cute to see them together.
  • Marion Cotilliard's white dress was a Monet. Good from far away not so good close up. Sort of reminded me of the Royal Copenhagen mens cologne bottle
  • What was up with David Oyelowo's red tux? There was something odd there.
  • You'd think Ryan Seacrest would get SOME celebrities to wear his tuxedo line. He's a powerful guy, no?
  • Steve Carrell is aging really really well.
  • Felicity Jones's hair wasn't that great but her dress sure was.
  • Looks like Michael Keaton got a little botox before the show
  • I thought it never rains in California? It was pouring at the Oscars!
  • There was a woman who looked just like my mother-in-law in the background on the red carpet. WEIRD
  • Chrissy Teigen must have a closet filled with sticky tape to hold those guys in at all these award shows.
  • Eddie Redmayne had Louis from One Direction's hair
  • Robert Duvall's wife had no top lip. It's literally missing.
  • Lucious Lyon aka Terence Howard in the house. Hoping his wife is preggers otherwise  she needs to get to the gym.
  • Thumbs up for Zoe Saldana's dress.
  • Ansel Elgort rockin the blue tux, he must have finally gotten a stylist to help him
  • Lupita Nyong'o's all pearl dress…OMG STUNNING…WINNER
  • Rosamund Pike's red dress amazing. She just had a baby. Spanx or breast feeding? How'd she'd lose that weight?
  • How is it that we didn't see Miles Teller's girlfriend's nipples? That was a magic act.
  • Sienna Miller never looks the same, ever. She's hard to recognize.
  • I know it's good luck for Best Actress nominees to wear white, but Julianne Moore should have gone with another color, she'll win anyway.
  • Khloe Kardashian looked horrible and was quick to diss Anna Kendrick's dress. Oops forgot this is a Kardashian free blog.
  • Kerry Washington's top didn't look like it matched the bottom
  • I know it wasn't, but Cate Blanchett's dress looked frayed or ripped. Thumbs down for me .
  • Dakota Johnson's Mom, Melanie Griffith totally annoyed her daughter on the red carpet…stars, they're just like us. If you missed it, check it out here: http://www.mediaite.com/tv/melanie-griffith-and-dakota-johnson-give-incredibly-awkward-oscars-red-carpet-interview/
  • Just noticed Rosamund Pike didn't have her toes done for the red carpet. Did she think the cameras wouldn't catch that?
  • Reese Witherspoon's hair not so good, and definitely DIDN'T go with Michael Keaton to the botox squad before the red carpet OMG, really bad forehead
  • Did JLo just beat Lupita? WOW! Sticky tape working extra hard there.
  • I didn't love Emma Stone's hair or her gold dress which is a bummer because I really love Emma in general
  • Taya Kyle, Chris Kyle's widow was on the red carpet. Glad to see her there.
  • Bradley Cooper looked beautiful. He's so handsome
  • Lady Gaga definitely didn't wear a bra under that dress. Hated her Superman gloves. She can use them tonight to wash the dinner dishes.
  • Someone fed Robin Roberts the wrong information on Chris Evans Oscar date. Heads are gonna roll.
  • Patricia Arquette was a sweaty mess by 8:26pm. I'm sure it was a long night for her.
  • Time for the show
The Oscars
  • Would you say that Jack Black stole the opening number from NPH?
  • Neil needed some water, he seemed parched.
  • Did we even need to see the nominees for Best Supporting Actor? J.K. Simmons was a slam dunk. The audience gave him a standing O. He used the above average children thing at the Independent Spirit Awards. I guess the above average kids don't call their Mom or Dad, huh?
  • Live Stream of the Oscar Case…we put it on the iPad to see if NPH was kidding. He wasn't.
  • Liam Neeson's had a little work done on the forehead but really, the dentist should be his priority
  • Adam Levine bagged his tux jacket, rolled up his sleeves and belted out his tune.
  • I guess Behati sticks her tongue out when she approves.
  • JLo and Chris Pine both took my breath away. Is Chris Pine single? He and JLo could make a beautiful baby.
  • Best Costume Design-Grand Budapest Hotel's Milena Cononero had sparkly lips in her scarf
  • Reese's forehead distracted me again, I didn't hear a word she said.
  • Best Make-Up and Hairstyling-Grand Budapest Hotel. The woman who won could have used  hair and make-up for the show. You know what they say, the plumber has leaky pipes
  • Channing Tatum hasn't lost his Foxcatcher weight yet. He's looking puffy
  • I just don't get Nicole Kidman. I don't think she's attractive, I didn't like her dress, I can't believe she's Keith's type.
  • Best Foreign Film-Ida (Poland)
  • Yeah Polish guy for talking through the music. Take that orchestra
  • Kudos to the Downton Abbey makeup people for making Shirley MacLaine look really good when she's on their show, she could have used them last night.
  • The seat filler bit with Steve Carrell didn't work for me
  • Of course Oprah got a Lego Oscar. I bet tomorrow I'll be able to get one at the Lego store for $19.95
  • Questlove's a busy guy. Oscars Sunday, 30 Rock tomorrow.
  • Best Live Action Short-The Phone Call (Note to JK Simmons kids…maybe it'll give them some hints) Winner gets a free donut. I'd say that's a great perk.
  • Best Documentary Short-Crisis Hotline. The winning woman had some nice arms. Pilates?
  • Viola Davis looked good…I still think she was once a man
  • Everything DOES sound better when said with a British accent.
  • How in the world did Gwyneth hold those earrings in her ears? OMG they were massive. Oh, yeah she rocked the pink dress too.
  • Red Carpet Tim McGraw=NO hat. Performing Tim McGraw=Cowboy hat. So where was the hat during the red carpet? Hat holder on staff?
  • NPH in tidy whitey's thing was from Birdman. I forgot that. Thanks Dana Moscato
  • Best Sound Mixing: Whiplash
  • Best Sound Editing: American Sniper
  • Jared Leto has huge feet, doesn't that correlate to something else?
  • Best Supporting Actress: Figured it out. Patricia Arquette's hair was such a wreck because she was busy writing her speech. So if I got it right it included ecological sanitation, all Mom's and wage equality. Pretty heavy for the Oscar's but Meryl and JLo were pumped.
  • Rita Ora's claim to fame is "Black Widow" with Iggy Azalea (That's why it helps to watch with a 13 year old)
  • The only thing I liked on Chloe was her diamond ear cuff.
  • Best Visual Effects: Interstellar
  • Best Animated Short: aptly presented by the tiniest actor in Hollywood, Kevin Hart. The winner: Feast
  • Best Animated Feature: Big Hero 6. That guy's totally calling his parents later.
  • President of the Academy is probably a decent gig. Nobody knows or cares who you are and yet you hang out with celebs at all their parties
  • Octavia Spencer was sitting with the Red Band Society kid I love. Now he has hair!
  • Best Production Design: Grand Budapest Hotel. The woman who won really should have picked a better dress. Spanx were the least of her problem
  • Hated Jessica Chastain's dress.
  • Best Cinematography: Birdman…UGH Hated it
  • In Memoriam time…Seemed super long and then a song. I could have lived without JHud. Wait, did they forget Joan Rivers?
  • Best Film Editing: Whiplash
  • I love Jennifer Anniston, I watched part of Picture Perfect yesterday afternoon. She was cute with Kevin Bacon.
  • Best Documentary: Citizenfour which airs on HBO tonight at 9pm. Winner had some crazy eyes. Not sure if it was nerves or just her.
  • Octavia looked good presenting Common and John Legend's Glory from Selma.
  • "Glory" performance was awesome, I knew it would be
  • Idina and John Travolta…very cute redemption. JT's a good sport. He took it like a man. A man with a great hairpiece and a lot of botox, but I've loved him since Welcome Back Kotter and I will always love him
  • Best Song: "Glory" Great speeches…I got chills from both of them. Two very eloquent men.
  • Awesome commerical…Coldwell Banker spot. Here's the full length version: https://www.coldwellbanker.com/dogs
  • Mixed feelings about Scarlett Johannsen's dress. Did that green necklace come with it? I dont think she needed it.
  • Sound of Music tribute. One of my faves of all time. Lady Gaga did it justice. Would have never put the two together but she killed it.
  • Tears came down when Julie Andrews walked out and the crowd went nuts.
  • Best Original Score: Grand Budapest Hotel
  • Not liking the super serious Eddie Murphy at all.
  • Best Original Screenplay: Birdman
  • Oprahhhhhh can I pleaseeeee have your gift basket? You totally don't need it! I could really use it.
  • Best Adapted Screenplay: The Imitation Game
  • Pretty sure Graham Moore just saved someones life. Some amazing speeches tonight. All the celebs will need some serious retouching before the parties
  • Ironic that Ben Affleck presented Best Director when he got screwed directing Argo.
  • Best Director: Birdman guy. UGH I HATED THAT MOVIE
  • Best Actor: Eddie Redmayne. Was hoping for Bradley Cooper, but Eddie deserved it.
  • Hating Matthew McConaghey's beard but I think it's for a role.
  • Best Actress: Julianne Moore. Great speech.
  • Neil Patrick Harris's Oscar Prediction case. In locked case…not sure if it lived up to the hype.
  • Sean Penn always looks like he just got out of bed to me. Now that he's with Charlize maybe I'm right.
  • Best Picture: Birdman which was the movie I hated the MOST
Net/net, I don't think NPH killed. Not sure why. The show was still sooooooo long and again, not sure why. There were definitely check your emails, play some Candy Crush moments and that shouldn't happen on Oscar night. Either way, time to get back to my regular Sunday night stress now. I'm sort of glad award season is over for now.

Girls I had 22 minutes this morning before my day started and figured I'd watch Girls. I know, I know, I said I was done, again, but I seem to have trouble deleting the Season Pass. There's good news. Adam Driver's still in the show and Mimi Rose is a wacko so maybe there's hope for Adam and Hannah. I can't believe I just typed that. Mimi Rose had an abortion and didn't tell Adam, who does that? Also, who would hire Hannah to teach and shape young minds? Marnie and Desi had sex against a wall again, but Marnie's realizing Desi's a freak. Ray was the only shining star this week. He showed up at a ridiculously unproductive Town Council and called them all out on how horrible of a job they were doing and now guess what? Ray's running for Town Council.   THE OTHER STUFF
-The Independent Spirit Awards were held on Saturday night. I love this one. It's fun and relaxed and held at the beach under a tent in the daytime. Anyway, no huge surprises since most of the nominees are also nominated for Oscars. Here's a recap:

Best Feature: Birdman (HATED IT)
Best Director: Richard Linklater for Boyhood
Best Female Lead: Julianne Moore for Still Alice
Best Male Lead: Michael Keaton for Birdman
Best Supporting Actor: JK Simmons for Whiplash
Best Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette: Boyhood

-The Razzie's were also given out over the weekend. These are given out (online, there's no real show which is a HUGE mistake! Somehow they gotta turn getting the WORST awards into a show.

Worst Picture: Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas
Worst Actor: Kirk Cameron
Worst Actress: Cameron Diaz for not one but two movies, The Other Woman and Sex Tape. (I liked The Other Woman)
Worst Supporting Actor: Kelsey Grammar for The Expendables 3, Legends of Oz, Think Like a Man Too & Transformers 4
Worst Supporting Actress: Megan Fox for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Worst Remake: Annie
Love this one: The Redeemer Award went to Ben Affleck for going from Gigli to Argo and Gone Girl.
Seriously, The Razzies should be a show! We'd love to see these people be funny and good sports! I know it will never happen but how great it would be if it did!

-The Television Academy made some much needed rule Emmy changes last week. The first change was to expand the number of nominees in both the Comedy and Drama categories from 6 to 7. With so many great shows these days, it's a smart move. Even smarter was changing and clarifying the definition of comedies and dramas since there seems to be a lot of confusion. I still have some issues and I'll tell you why in a sec.

A comedy is now defined as: a series whose episodes are 30 minutes or less. It is comprised of 6 episodes or more and has an ongoing storyline, theme and main characters presented under the same title. MY ISSUE: Nowhere does it state in the rule that that the show must be considered humorous in nature. A show like Transparent is 30 minutes and it's not at all funny, I'd put it in the drama category but with the new rule it would still end up in the comedy category.

A drama is now defined as a series whose episodes are more than 30 minutes.  It is comprised of 6 episodes or more and has an ongoing storyline, theme and main characters presented under the same title. There aren't a ton of 60 minute comedies, so this should work except for Transparent, I'd have to think further to find other issues. However this automatically puts Orange is the New Black in this category which is where it belongs.

Mini Series has been changed to Limited Series and defined as programs of two or more episodes with a total running time of at least 150 program minutes that tell a complete, non-recurring story and do not have an ongoing storyline and/or main characters in subsequent seasons.

Producers can apparently petition the governing body to put their program in the correct category during submission time if their program doesn't fit based on the new rules. The new Netflix show, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is  supposed to be funny and is also an hour, so we will see what happens come Emmy time. Either way, some good/well needed changes were made.

-Looks like Jimmy Kimmel has a new boss. Robert Mills was officially named head of ABC's Alternative Series, Specials & Late Night Programming. He's actually been doing the job already.  He's been helping out unofficially since Lisa Berger left after a year. I guess Paul Lee's a happy camper, so he made it official. Guess he gets a gym membership and a cappuccino machine or something now. I'd say Robert's least problem is late night, so he can focus on the alts & specials. Good luck bud!

-From Jimmy Kimmel's Post Oscar Show here's Part 1 of Jimmy Kimmels School of Perfect Acting:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfW2TydxlWY Here's Part 2 http://abc.go.com/shows/jimmy-kimmel-live/video/featured/VDKA0_5dd0c34r

Jimmy always nails Oscar night.

-Parks & Recreation ends on Tuesday, I'd like to first pay tribute to my favorite character on the show and maybe a Top 5 character of all time, Ron Swanson. (I'd need to really think about that list if I decide to actually compile it)
