I would be lying if I said I got dressed up for work everyday. Not because I don’t like to at all, more because most days I am working at my home office and work out clothes are just easier to throw on. Although most work days are spent at my office I do attend work meetings and the every-so-often lunch. That being said even though I don’t get dressed to go to an office every morning, I need work clothes.
If you are like me when buying staples (like work pieces) you want them to be great quality, have simple silhouettes, be interchangeable but not break the bang. I recently needed a few things so I ran into Nordstrom to get some basics. After learning about the line 1.State a few weeks ago I decided to head to the T.B.D. department to see what else I could find.
Needless to say I hit the jackpot. I ended up finding more than I could ever want but going with the needs versus wants philosophy I decided to just stick to my list. I ended up getting this striped organza blouse & these cropped skinny pants. Even though I do love wearing them together they are SO good separate. They are so cute it’s like your not even wearing work clothes but yet they look so professional.
You know that feeling when you get home after a little shopping trip and you are so pleased with your purchases? Well, I am still pleased with these two purchases. No boring ‘work’ clothes for moi! P.s. the striped organza blouse that I am wearing is now 40% off.
