Organic Natural Wedding in Monemvasia | Amanda & Kristopher

By Eleni Balkouli @Love4Wed

If you are an organic lover and you prefer the natural style, then this wedding is for you! Amanda and Kristopher decided to tie the knot in the magnificent castle in Monemvasia and to celebrate their love with an organic reception draped in eucalyptus, olive branches, pepper leaves, lisianthus, peonies, roses and lavender. We loved every gorgeous detail that Think Happy Events created. The gorgeous garland on the tables, the hanging flowers and the romantic lighting created a scene straight out of a fairytale! What to say about the beautiful bride who stole all the impressions with her unique rustic style, her lace wedding dress and her shiny headpiece. Scroll on to see some of our favorite details!

The bride shared with us: “We met at a local Mexican restaurant in Chicago through an online dating app. Let’s say the engagement involved some Disney Magic.”

“The designer of my wedding dress is Naeem Khan, but I had the dress completely altered by a local seamstress in Chicago who happens to be Greek! I was most excited about wearing the headpiece from Maria Elena Headpieces. That’s what inspired the whole theme of the wedding!”

“The best moment of our wedding was walking with my family through the streets of Monemvasia on the way to the church before getting married. My father was severely ill earlier in the year, so I was overwhelmingly grateful that he could take the steps to walk me to the alter. I had a beaming smile on my face, but all these tears kept on falling from my eyes! It was an emotional sensation I had never felt before and it felt so surreal.”

“The style of our wedding was organic natural with delicate details. We wanted to feel as if the reception was taking place in a fairy tale garden lush with eucalyptus, olive branches, pepper leaves, peonies, purple & white lisianthus, succulents, bombastic & lase roses, lavender. Colors were greenery with pops of lavender/purple.”
